1.) VENICE – the multi-channel video server
The video server for professionals
VENICE is a two-channel video server. The system offers two SD/HD-SDI inputs
and two SD/HD-SDI and DVI outputs. Its powerful engine allows for a direct
capturing and play-out of uncompressed or compressed formats typically used in
broadcast workflows, e.g. from Avid, Panasonic or Sony. Every content can be
directly stored on the local RAID 6 protected storage or on an attached external
storage (e.g. SpycerBox, DVS-SAN, etc.).
File-based workflow
For a modern file-based workflow VENICE will be the hub between the “signal
world” and files. Content coming from Panasonic’s P2 cards or Sony’s professional
disc can be easily copied over the network to the local storage of VENICE.
Additional storages like SpycerBox or a SAN can be connected via Fibre Channel.
Content from P2 cards or professional discs can be directly played out over SDI or
DVI to other video devices.
Free your non-linear editing systems (NLE)
With VENICE you can capture SD/HD-SDI signals directly into specific codecs
normally used by editing systems. Just capture content from a VTR directly into an
Avid DNxHD codec and drag and drop the DNxHD MXF files into the Media Tool.
There will be no need for tiresome importing processes. Additionally, the NLE
system will be freed from capturing jobs because they can run on VENICE in
parallel to your editing work.
Uncompressed collaboration with graphic workstations
Graphic designers or compositing artists want to have the best video quality for their
work. With uncompressed graphic file sequences of each clip they will get exactly
that for brilliant keys and color corrections. VENICE is able to record SD, HD and
even 2K signals directly into uncompressed file sequences like DPX, BMP or TIFF.
